Dagostinia's Geography Department serves two purposes.  The first is through exploration.  Teams are created with the purpose of finding and recording data.  This data is then given to the appropriate group to be recorded.

Exploration is set up to research, record, and report on previously uncharted territory.  In territory previously charted by other entities, exploration may occur in order to update information or add previously overlooked data.  No frontier is impossible.
