The Heritage Department manages all historical records of Dagostinia.
Historical Timeline:
June 18th, 1976: Monarch for life Brian is born.
May 06th, 1988: Brian posts Sovereignty Rules on bedroom door.
September 20th, 1996: Brian begins drawing a portfolio of cities that may one day be built as sovereign. Bachelor Island in the Columbia River becomes a likely candidate.
May 22nd, 2004: Brian marries Melissa.
May 30th, 2005: Brian and Melissa purchase land.
April, 2007: Brian reads about micronations and decides to create his own.
January 06, 2008: Future Desert Territory is secured.
March 22, 2009: Dagostinia is founded both on real property and on the internet.
October 07th, 2010: First village christened.
July 06th, 2011: First Dagostinian birth.
August 24, 2011: First postage stamp is produced.
Prehistory:
Melissa (The Office of Oversight) has traced her lineage back to a John Edwards, b.1680 in England. This person bore the Edwards coat of arms. Since there is direct lineage proven, Dagostinia lays claim to the privilege of bearing said arms. The first province split shall bear the name Edwardia in honor.
Further research has indicated that Melissa can also trace lineage to the Feith, Hegeman, and van Holthe coats of arms as well.
